This is an introductory theatre course primarily focused on building acting and presentational skills, which students may use later in life.
This course focuses on acting styles and scene studies.
The primary focus of this course is period acting styles.
This is the Varsity theatre group, Admittance to this course is by audition only. Auditions typically occur in early April. The students in this course are required to be a part of every stage production at Reagan as well as the U.I.L. One Act Play competition.
Technical theatre emcompasses all parts of theatre arts that occur backstage: lighting, sound, costumes, props, scenery, etc.
This course is a survey of all aspects of the technical side of theatre. Students have the option of volunteering to work on the show crews, but it is not required.
Students must successfully pass Technical Theatre I to enroll in this course. In this course, students are allowed to focus on areas of technical theatre that they wish to learn more about. Students in this course have the option of volunteering for show crews, but must also put in some lab hours running some of the many events held in our auditorium.
